Three years later, Chrysler was partnered with Ghia for the Norseman concept, which then sank with the Andrea Doria. Crap. At least the Ghia concept for *Plymouth* in ‘56 survived.

It is too bad so little Ghia cars were produced. They are some of the most beautiful cars to come out of the 50s

A deep cherry red is one of the best car colors a car can have.

I’ve been debating red’s for the Montego for years (and will be for years because I don’t have the money to paint it yet lol) I’ve bounced between something deep like the above and “red so red it slaps you in the face for looking at it”

How so? It was overstated, certainly, but it had some neat ideas, like the roof. Or did you mean in the sense that they might have actually tried building it with that roof and subjected a lot of customers to torture?

Kinja'd!!!

In any case, those fins more or less survived to the ‘61 Dodge in somewhat altered form, and that sweep in the roof made it to the Charge some years even later.

It’s not much better from the back!

Overblown either way. Same applies to the brown one.

I thought that went down with the Andrea Dorea ?

I think if you do ever paint it a deep red like this would be the way to go. It just adds so much definition to cars when they are painted this beautiful candy apple red

One of them might have. I know they produced a few though

Oh, I thought it was just the one. Either way, gorgeous car. That red is simply fantastic.

RamblinRover pointed out that it was a Chrysler Ghia Norseman.

True, it does. And it’s a little bit more true to the original “Cardinal Red” than an excessively bright red would be.

That was the Norseman concept car, totally different design. Chrysler contracted out pretty much all of their concept car, prototype, and limited production model construction to Ghia in the ‘50s, since Italian craftsmanship was excellent and the labor was dirt cheap.
